HishabPrivacy Policy
The short version
- Your money records, shopping lists, wallets and subscriptions are saved only on your phone. We have no account system or server, so we never receive them.
- To show ads, search online prices and find nearby shops, the app uses services from Google and OpenStreetMap. Only what each feature needs is sent, as listed below.
- We do not sell your data.
1. Who we are
HishabRakhi is a personal finance and shopping app made by H. M. Masum Billah, Bangladesh ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the HishabRakhi app for Android and iOS. For any question, email mbillah21@yahoo.com.
2. Information that stays on your phone
Everything you enter is stored in the app's private storage on your device and is never uploaded by us:
- transactions, categories, notes and budgets
- wallets and transfers
- shopping lists, items, prices and the shops you bought from
- subscriptions and reminder settings
- your profile: name, email address, photo and currency (used only inside the app; you can leave them blank)
We cannot see, access or recover this information. If you create a backup file, it is saved wherever you choose (for example your phone, Google Drive or email), under your control. When you share a shopping list by QR code, the list is passed directly from your screen to the other person's camera; it does not go through any server.
3. Information sent to other services
Some features need an internet service. The table shows exactly what is sent, to whom and why.

These providers handle data under their own privacy policies: Google Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services, Firebase privacy, OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
4. Advertising
Ads keep HishabRakhi free. They appear only on the price, store and item-history screens. Google may use your device's advertising ID to show personalised ads. Where the law requires consent (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), the app asks you first using Google's consent form, and you can change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy Policy → Manage ad choices.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings: on Android, Settings → Privacy → Ads; on iPhone, by turning off Allow Apps to Request to Track.
5. Permissions the app asks for
- Location: only while you search for nearby shops or follow directions, never in the background. The app does not store your location.
- Camera: only to scan a shopping-list QR code from a friend. No photos are taken or saved.
- Photos: only if you choose a profile picture. It stays on your phone.
- Notifications: for subscription and bill reminders, scheduled on your phone.
- Fingerprint, face or screen lock: if you turn on App Lock. The check is done by your phone; the app never receives your biometric data.
You can turn any permission off in your phone's settings. The rest of the app keeps working.
6. How long information is kept
We keep nothing, because we receive nothing. Information on your phone stays until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Information sent to the services in section 3 is kept according to their own policies.
7. Deleting your data
Because HishabRakhi has no account, there is nothing for us to delete on a server. To delete everything, uninstall the app, and delete any backup files you saved. To remove ad-related data held by Google, reset your advertising ID as described in section 4.
8. Children
HishabRakhi is meant for adults managing household money and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Security
Your records are stored in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. You can add App Lock for extra protection. All connections to the services above use encrypted HTTPS.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data and to withdraw consent. Your records are already fully under your control on your phone. 11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above. Important changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
